“Talking to my fans has become a fun little ritual of mine” Content Creator Judy’s Tips on Communicating With Your Fanbase

Fans and content creators are inseparable. Fans drive content creators to produce better content, which in turn grows their fanbase, creating a positive feedback loop. It's also incredibly motivating for content creators to see a group of people bonding over the content they've published.
However, content creators face a real challenge when it comes to bringing their audience together and solidifying them into a genuine community. Judy faced these same challenges as a TikTok Live creator, until she discovered Fancim M.
Fancim M became the tool that allowed Judy to transform a scattered group of followers into a core community of her most dedicated fans. She told us that despite her uncertainties as a creator, she's found the courage to continue her journey after watching her fandom transform from mere "followers" into her inner "circle.”
In this post, we'll discover how she leveraged Fancim M to completely transform follower numbers into a community of fans who truly value her content.

"What started as something I did out of boredom became my whole life"

Q: Let's start with a quick introduction, Judy.

Hey! I'm Judy, and I'm a TikTok creator who focuses on interactive live streams and dance content.

Q: How did you get into streaming in the first place?

I used to work a regular job, but after I quit, I started working part-time at a PC café. The work was super slow and I got bored, so I started doing live streams just to chat with friends. That's when my friends were like "You should try streaming on other platforms!"
I started casually, but the response was way better than I expected. I was like "Wait, maybe I'm actually good at this?" and just kept going from there.

Q: What do you think made your streams successful?

Definitely the communication factor. I don't just talk at my audience, I read every single chat message and try to have real conversations with my viewers. Plus, my playful personality clicks well with viewers who have the same energy, so we have good back-and-forth.
I also try to upload short videos at least every other day. I make an effort to communicate in different languages for my international viewers too. I can handle Korean, Chinese, and English pretty well, and lately I've been getting a lot of Indonesian viewers, so I've learned some basic greetings! (laughs)

"I share even the smallest everyday moments with my fans to stay close"

Q: How is fan communication different between traditional streaming platforms and TikTok?

On traditional platforms, usually only fans who donate a lot get to have 1:1 conversations with creators. So if you don't spend money, it's hard to become a real fan or build natural connections. But TikTok is way more accessible—anyone can communicate with anyone just by signing up.

Q: Before using Fancim M, how did you communicate with your fans?

Mainly through chat messages or through "broadcast selfies"—where I'd leave selfies on fans' personal channel boards. Some fans would collect these like Pokémon stickers! (laughs)

Q: What topics do you usually discuss with your fans?

I'm honestly on my phone all day talking about everything with them. Before I go live, I'll announce "Going live at this time today," and after streams I'll say "Thanks so much for today." When I'm eating, I'll ask "Have you guys eaten yet?"
I try to build connections by sharing these little everyday moments.

Q: What advantages does Fancim M have over regular messaging apps?

Fancim M lets me communicate way more casually than other messengers. With messaging apps, when messages come in, I stress about "I really need to reply to this, but what should I say?" And if I can't reply to every fan, I feel guilty.
But with Fancim M, I can just chat naturally like I'm talking with real friends, so there's way less stress. From a creator's perspective, 1:1 connections can create pressure to reply to everyone, but being able to naturally talk with all my fans in one space is so much more efficient.

Q: Do you feel like Fancim M improved your fan communication?

Absolutely! I can definitely communicate more closely with each individual fan. Before, there wasn't really a service where I could consistently chat with multiple fans in one space like this. Fancim M isn't just a place for donations—it's a space where fans who regularly visit can gather, which is way better. Even if big spenders leave, I have people who come by every day, and that gives me strength when I'm streaming.
The Private Cards feature is especially great because I can give fans more special content. Before, it was hard to take care of people individually, but now I can manage everything systematically, which is so much easier!

Q: What communication style do your fans love most?

Fans love when I share my daily life more than just simple messages! They especially love when I send photos through Private Cards. Photos get immediate heart reactions and comments like "So pretty!" "Love it!" way more than text messages.
But most importantly, the fact that these are photos they can only see "here" makes it feel special to fans.

"For fan communication, consistent relationships matter more now"

Q: What do you think is the most important factor for long-term growth as a creator?

"I think building a core fanbase has to come first, no question."
When you're streaming, all kinds of viewers come and go, but you need fans who always show up and engage to sustain long-term activity. Rather than just momentary attention or donations, having a community that can stick with you long-term is the key element for stable growth as a creator.

Q: If you had to choose between "big spender fans" and a "core fanbase"?

"Honestly, I'm super grateful for people who make big donations once or twice! Thanks to them, I can make better content and it gives me a lot of courage to do this full time. But to keep streaming consistently, the people who show up regularly are really what matters."

What's more important than temporary attention is having people who consistently visit and communicate. When you have more fans like that, more opportunities naturally come up, and it motivates you to create content. On the other hand, if you only depend on temporary attention or specific fans, it becomes hard to sustain long-term. That's why I think securing a fanbase that can stay with you long-term is the most important thing.

Q: Does Fancim M actually help your career in practical ways?

Looking at Fancim M, there are lots of people who visit every single day. They might not be big donors, but they're people who consistently communicate and cheer me on. I think these people become the real core fanbase. Rather than just temporary interest, having fans who visit daily and chat builds up, so it helps my career become more stable.
In that sense, Fancim M isn't just a space for donations, it's a space for building consistent fans and relationships.

Q: Using Fancim M, what are you hoping for in the future?

I'm satisfied now, but I'd love more features that could deepen connections with individual fans. For example, if I could easily check my communication history with fans I see often, I think we could have more special conversations.
And I'd love expanded features for communicating with global fans! Right now it's still hard for Korean fans and international fans to naturally mix. But if Fancim M's features expand more, I think customized communication by language region would be possible, which I'm excited about.

Q: Do you have any plans or goals for 2025?

"My goal is to attend an influencer party in Thailand. And I want to try streaming directly from the US!"
I'm especially preparing a project to expand my global fanbase by creating short content like 'party girl interviews.' I think it would be great if fans could experience different cultures through me and explore a wider world together. (laughs)
I want to keep consistently communicating with more fans and create a space where everyone can participate together regardless of nationality.
